Our Grandma lives next door to us,
the perfect place to see
our Grandma any time we want.
It’s easy as can be.
No car seats and no buckles,
we just walk across the drive
and Grandma’s waiting at the door
to let us all inside.
Her bed’s the best for jumping–
it’s better than our own.
And Grandma’s snacks are tastier
than what we’ve got at home.
She shows us special treasures.
There’s so much Grandma knows.
We love to hear her stories
of real life long ago.
We say goodbye and hug her,
she tells us not to fuss–
she’ll cross the drive tomorrow
to come and visit us.
What a blessing – creating special moments and memories.
Thank you, Judy! Glad you are enjoying the blog.
Have so enjoyed your “Mommy Walk” and makes me miss our little grandchildren in Ohio. Our son Benjamin and his wife, Jen, have 3 little ones. Noah is 7, Lyla is 5 and our little Hope (Hopey) will be 3 on the 12th of May. Your Aunt Dorothy has shared your link with me and I love it . Dorothy just spent a week here in Wisconsin which we so enjoyed having her. I am your Dad’s cousin, Judy, and I know you were here many years ago. We so enjoyed seeing you and hope you can come this way again sometime. At least I feel we’re a little bit in touch with you. Our daughter, Lori, has a son, Dakota, who is 25 and our son Josh has a son, Hunter, who is 17 and Josh also has a baby on the way. Please say “hi” to your dad and family and give them our love. Judy Sasse, Fremont, Wisconsin . P.S. We still live in the same house we have lived in for 48 years.
Hello, Judy! I’m so happy to hear from you! Yes, I remember visiting you and catching up by the big wood burning stove! We will see my mom and dad tomorrow and I will pass along your greetings to them and to my siblings. Our love to all if you. Yes, we do hope to visit at some point— -we are overdue for a chat by the stove! ❤️
